Welcome to The Haven Coffee House – Great Barr's New Community Hub

If you've driven past the old Post Office building near the Scott Arms recently, you may have noticed something new.

The building has been given a fresh new lease of life as The Haven Coffee House – a welcoming place where great coffee, delicious food and friendly conversation come together.

Open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am until 4pm, The Haven has been created as a place where people of all ages can relax, meet friends, enjoy good food and feel part of the local community.

Whether you're calling in for your morning coffee, meeting someone for lunch, catching up with friends or simply looking for somewhere to unwind, you'll always receive a warm welcome.

Alongside freshly brewed coffee, speciality teas and cold drinks, you'll also find a delicious selection of cakes and snacks, as well as freshly prepared sandwiches.

But The Haven is about much more than what's on the menu. It's about creating a place where people can come together, build friendships and enjoy being part of their local community.

Something Different Every Week

As well as great food and drinks, The Haven offers a range of regular weekly activities, giving everyone another reason to pop in.

🎲 Tuesdays – Game On! (12pm – 4pm)

Looking for a relaxed afternoon with family or friends? Tuesday is all about board games. Whether it's cards, Scrabble or another family favourite, it's a great way to enjoy good company and have a little fun.

☕ Wednesdays – Seniors Special (12pm – 4pm)

Everyone is welcome at The Haven every day of the week. On Wednesdays, we're pleased to offer 10% off all food and drinks for OAPs, making it the perfect opportunity to enjoy a coffee, lunch or a catch-up with friends.

🎨 Thursdays – Creative Hub (12pm – 2pm)

During the school holidays, children can enjoy fun arts and crafts in a friendly and welcoming environment.

Young visitors can also choose from a selection of children's story books, colouring books and puzzle books, giving them plenty to enjoy while parents or grandparents relax with a coffee.

When the holidays come to an end, the Creative Hub will continue with creative activities for adults and the wider community.

💬 Fridays – Better Together (12pm – 2pm)

Have you ever wanted to visit a café but felt a little nervous because you didn't know anyone?

The Chatty Café Table has been created especially for you.

A designated table, hosted by a friendly volunteer, offers a warm welcome to anyone looking for company and conversation. Whether you're new to the area, would like to make new friends, or simply fancy a chat over a cup of coffee, there's always someone ready to welcome you.
